Kykuit is one of the many mansions in the Historic Hudson Valley that are open to the public, and was home to four generations of Rockefellers. The tour includes the rooms of the mansion, but photography isn’t allowed inside so I was only able to take photos of the grounds.

Philipsburg Manor
Another one of the Historic Hudson Valley homes is Philipsburg Manor, which you are able to view from the parking lot where the bus to Kykuit leaves from. We didn’t go on the tour for this one, so I was only able to get the view from outside.
Blue Hill Grain Bar at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture
About 15 minutes from Kykuit is Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, where you can dine at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, sister to Blue Hill New York. Their equivalent of a tasting menu is a whopping $218 per person, so we hit the Blue Hill Grain Bar (which is really a whole grain bakery) instead, and took a nice walk around the farm.
