This is a real, climbing-over-rocks, sweat-pouring-out-of-you kind of hike. Especially if you do the labyrinth section, which is an entire section of combined rock-scrambling and spelunking.
This place is gorgeous, and is perfect for both avid hikers or people just looking to hang out by the lake. There’s a parking lot that’s right near a picnic area, a food truck, and a lovely view of the lake. It has miles and miles of trails for you to enjoy.
Here’s a look at our first hike of the season last April. We chose a fairly easy one to start. It’s so easy that you’ll see there are some kids that went and did this hike as well.
Fried clams at PJ’s Family Restaurant, hiking the Atlantic White Cedar Swamp Trail, hanging out at Marconi Beach, and sweets from Chequesett Chocolate and Sweet Escape.
