I’m taking a break from my usual posts to ask any readers that may not be aware of what’s happened for any help you can give to those who were affected by the typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda, in my beautiful home country, the Philippines.

Many people have lost family members, are homeless, and in dire need of food, water, clothing, and shelter.

If you’re wondering what the extent of the devastation is, here’s only one of the countless videos up right now.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

One of the places I’ve featured in my posts, Coron, was also hit very badly.

Our family donated to the World Food Programme at the UN, and here are other ways you can help:
